Andrea Moran is an attorney with more than 7 years of experience, located in El Paso, Texas whose practice focuses on immigration, including business and family-based immigration, consular processing, naturalization and I-9 sanctions/worksite enforcement, and U.S./Mexico cross-border business.
Specifically, Ms. Moran assists U.S. companies in obtaining business visas, such as E-2 investor visas, E-1 treaty trader visas, L-1 intracompany work visas for investors, executives, managers and employees from Mexico and other countries to the U.S. In addition, she assist U.S. companies in obtaining H-1B and TN (USCMA) visas for individuals hired to work in the U.S.
Ms. Moran also assists clients in obtaining permanent residence in the U.S. through family members or employment. She has experience in dealing with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the U.S. Department of Staes (Embassies and Consulates), particularly as it relates visa processing times, case status updates and consular processing issues.
A unique area of expertise for Ms. Moran is representing companies in negotiating fines issued by ICE for I‐9 violations, as well as assisting companies in auditing I-9 forms to ensure compliance with I-9 form legal requirements.
Ms. Moran earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, summa cum laude, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she was the Symposium Editor of the school’s Law Review, as well as a member of the Hispanic Law Students Association. While in law school, she served as an intern in the Monterrey, Mexico office of Baker & McKenzie for their Corporate and Trade & Commerce practice groups.
Ms. Moran also served as an intern at the Mexican Consulate in Seattle, Washington, primarily, in the areas of labor rights and employment visas.
