Nora Fernandez , is an international business attorney licensed to practice law in Mexico. She practices in the Firm’s Mexico Law Practice Area, primarily in international business and cross-border, corporate and securities, manufacturing and real estate in relation to Mexico.
The addition of a Mexico-licensed lawyer and the ability to advise clients on Mexico Law, allows the Carbonell Law Firm to provide clients with single-source, dual representation in both the U.S. and Mexico.
Ms. Fernandez is bilingual and fluent in both Spanish and English, which enables her to work effectively and efficiently in both the U.S. and Mexico. Her broad experience in Mexico Law includes matters related to assisting multinational companies, as well as small and middle market companies and international investors, with their businesses or investments in Mexico, such as establishing and maintaining operations in Mexico and governmental and regulatory compliance, particularly in the industries, manufacturing, maquiladoras, “twin plant” manufacturers, transportation, logistics and real estate.
Ms. Fernandez also advises and assists clients in the formation of new entities and investment vehicles in Mexico and the structuring of joint ventures, manufacturing and distribution agreements, and loan and security agreements in Mexico or related to Mexico Law.
Ms. Fernandez is also involved in assisting Firm clients with the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
